This is an useful package for those that want to start (or continue) using Add-On and/or Replace mods. Start using an organized folders/files package and keep your game as clean as possible!
Why do I need this?
5 reasons here:
1.- Keep your game mods more organized.
2.- Save time installing mods by always following the same process and having a better control of what you install and remove. Less game crashes and if they occur is easier to find them!
3.- Install mods in just 1 location/folder which never will get outdated/stop working with normal game updates. You just need one!
4.- Have Add-On vehicles like Ford GT 2005 by Aige working as replacer mods for, in this case and as example, get the original game "Bullet" car replaced with the real life based vehicle mod.
5.- Learn how to put replacer vehicle/weapon mods as Add-On's yourself.
How can I do that if I don't know how and where?
You can find my tutorial thread for this purpose. Check it out. it'll help you by A LOT.
- In English: [Tutorial | Vehicles/Weapons] How to do: Add-On's / Replacers
HIGHLY RECOMENDED (Obligatory edited limits file to install more than 10 Add-On vehicles, otherwise your game will crash):
- Get the best gameconfig here by Razed
Do you want to Add Peds instead of replacing the existing one's?
- AddonPeds & PedSelector by @Meth0d
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CHANGELOG
v1.0 to v6.0
- 3 different Add-On/Replace installation folder packages and several readme changes for all of them. Variety matters!
v7.0
- Contains the Add-On weapons version package. You're now able to install weapons as Add-Ons. Take a look at the readme included to learn more!
v8.0
- The Add-On Rims pack was added. It includes into the META files an example of which kind of information should go inside.
- All the packages from 1.0 to 8.0 versions were included as an All-in-One downloadable file.
If this helps you, please don't forget to rate the upload with 5 stars ;)
If you think there's something that needs to be fixed and/or improved, please share your feedback with me!
Have a good day!

@Xire Thank you. It should be possible as far as you can recreate the same folders/files structure (path) and also figure out how to declare such structure in the content.xml file of the Add-On folder for the game to read the new content and load it. Still, I'm not sure if it would work as in the end is the own game engine who decides which files located in X place are the priority to load. For example, any files in the "update.rpf" file are a priority over any other with the same name in different locations. I believe the same applies to some x64?.rpf files but I'm not sure.

@Rishadhayath Maybe you didn't put all the metadata information in the respective files. You'll have to make sure you're installing everything correctly.

I want to make an ADDON weapon based on a carbine rifle for SP Do you have an example file or a tutorial video?
December 22, 2022 -
@rhcnxfj13 Sorry just saw your comment :S
No I don't. Still there should be any carbine rifle already being an Add-On uploaded somewhere in the site. All you'd need to do is see how's it built and create your own based on it but with the weapon you want to convert to Add-On. After that, trial-error method until you get it working.March 05, 2023 -
@eddie_r32 Sorry but I have no time to help with carpacks at all. Whenever you make a car pack just make sure to keep testing in-game that it works when you add each vehicle. So, for each vehicle you install do an in-game test and if something wrong happens undo whatever was the last thing you did modify/add in the car pack.
That's the method I've been using for mine for years and no issues.

How to edit weapon ? i want to replace weapon from rockstar but still failed.

@ALEXSYS such file is not a requirement for vehicle mods to work, that's why I didn't include it. Anyway if you still want it all you have to do is copy/paste it in the data folder of your DLC and add the declarations of the file location in the DLC content.xml file (take a look at how the other data files are declared there as example and do yours).

@Reyser Okay, But can you help me with a problem with vanilla car's tuning? some time ago in my GTA V there was a problem with unavailability vanilla vehicles tuning by Addon vehicles reason, of course i know, what i need to do to fix this, i tried to change te "id value" in the carcols.meta and carvariations.meta files, but it didn't help me, now i have 450+ addon vehicles, but the problem was there even when I only had 10 addon vehicles, I installed your mod in hopes of fixing this error, but it didn't help. Please give me some advice about this, it's really important to me now🙂Thank you anyway👍
