best tutorial as always! 💖
Been using this for about a year, great tool to use.
ooh looks cool i'll have to give it a try!
One of the best tools I use. Can be used to make custom ymt's so you dont have to use mpclothes or mplimits. You pick what slots you want to create and how many textures you want. You also control the name of the package.
Finally, you can also use this to create custom PED YMT's. Like someone's PED, and want to add someone elses Textures as additional options instead of replacements? This can help you do that.
I'm using this tool all the time now and can say it works like a dream. It makes addonped creators like me have a way easier experience when setting up the models and voice lines. Plus, the abilities feel endless when being able to add as many clothing items I want, with however many textures I please. It's so cool and although I'm sure there are limits to it, but the possibilites feel endless since the tool allows a lot of creativity to flow. It feels like I can create whatever I want for this game now without having to base my peds off the base game models ymts! Thank you grzybeek for making this amazing mod tool for the GTA-5 modding community!
A great tool. Much appreciated 👍🏿
This YMTEditor v1.4 tool is very good.
Thank you for this tool!
@grzybeek. From the comments above some users are under the impression you can add drawables to existing peds (other than MP) by taking them from other ped mods. You can't. Even textures can be problematic. You might want to include that in your instructions, just a suggestion. Nice tool for creators.
Been using this for a few months now, glad to see it posted here! This tool is simply a life saver. When I started making peds, early 2021, we didn't have access to a tool like this so we had to export the YMT file to XML, then manually edit it on a note pad/code editor, which was a PAIIIN IN THE BUUUUTTT. A lot of trial and error, a lot of slowly changing things to see what works and how it works. People who are starting out now are SUPER LUCKY to have this tool, and I appreciate it a lot myself!
@JohnFromGWN It is possible to mix and match drawables, with very little tweaking! I've done it a few times. Textures were never a problem... More often than not, the problems I find are: 1) 3d model does not fit the new model and therefore makes no physical sense; 2) I forget to remove the skel from the added drawable and it bugs when in conflict with the main one
That being said, as long as the 3d model fits (masks are a good example, they almost always fit as long as it's same height peds) and you extract the drawable, delete or exchange the skel, and reexport it, you should be able to use it no problem.
@ItsMeLiana Yes of course, but many new users think that you can switch any clothes/or body parts from different peds - which as your wrote doesn't happen without similar or exact models. Although I don't create models, I did post a tutorial on how to edit them. This is a great tool, but I'm the text editor type of guy.

@JohnFromGWN I admire you sticking to text editor. There is already so much to be done via text editor, I am grateful some stuff are getting semi-automated. lol. Specially since it was very hard for my adhd brain to keep track of items within items within items within items in those xml files
@ItsMeLiana I admire you for creating models. And in this case, I agree, this tool is superior to a text editor because these xml files are incredibly confusing and require unrelenting focus and attention to detail. Given how long it takes for a heavily modded GTA5 game to load, you try to get your edits write the first time. Going to add this tool to my post.
@grzybeek I have some info on what the hash_2fD08CEF does, it basically denotes the sound file that will play for the type of shoe I.E. shoe_trainer, shoe_flip_flop, dress shoes, heavy boots, heels and so on.
Hope this helps, if not already known :)
Posted a tutorial from A to Z including the YMT Editor

thanks !
do we put this inside resources?
@xorebelious No. It's a tool. You don't put it in your resources folder. You drag and drop a ymt on the editor when open. Can be used for SP or FiveM.
Absolutely essential tool if you want to customize peds of player/MP models.
